Выручка Группы «Илим» в январе-июне 2021 года превысила 1,26 млрд долларов

Over the first six months of this year, the Company delivered 1.839 million tons of products. Owing to an extensive upgrade of the Bratsk Mill and rebuild of the softwood pulp line of the Ust-Ilimsk Mill completed in 2020, the Company intends to increase its production output up to 3.7 million tons of finished products by the end of 2021 and up to 3.8 million tons in 2022. Over 70% of Company products are exported to 70 countries worldwide.

Throughout the first half of the year, the Company continued to implement its one-of-a-kind capital project aimed to set up a new world-class kraft linerboard mill with a full production cycle in Ust-Ilimsk. The new mill will be the largest kraft linerboard production facility in the world, allowing Ilim to ramp-up its market product output to 4.5 million tons per year. Checkout, commissioning and start-up of the new mill is scheduled for 2022.

One of the key projects pursued by Ilim as part of its sustainable development policy is aimed to build a new forest nursery in the Irkutsk Oblast (Bratsk), which will be one of the largest in Russia with an annual capacity of over 9 million ball-rooted seedlings of pine and spruce and a potential for ramping up the number of outplanted seedlings. The number of ball-rooted seedlings planted grows every year. In 2021, the Company has grown and purchased over 6 million seedlings and over 4 tons of seeds of pine and spruce to support its artificial and combined reforestation efforts, which cover an area of 50,000 ha annually. All of Ilim’s leased timberlands of 7.9 million ha are certified in accordance with FSC and PEFC ™ standards.

This year will also see the start-up of a number of facilities which are the focus of several environmental projects. In particular, as part of the Clean Air federal project, the Bratsk Mill has already installed state-of-the art precipitators at three lime kilns allowing to remove 99% of lime dust from the air emissions.
