Ilim Group became an official partner of the Context. Diana Vishneva festival of contemporary choreography that was launched on October 9, 2019 in Moscow. The festival events were held in October and will be continued in December 2019 on various stages in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The Context. Diana Vishneva festival is an outstanding event in the world of art that offers the Russian audience access to the best contemporary dance performances, world premieres, productions created by both young and recognized choreographers as well as documentary films screening and a broad educational program.

The Context. Diana Vishneva international festival of contemporary choreography is the largest event organized by the Diana Vishneva’s Fund for Ballet Promotion and Development. Ilim Group became a partner of the Fund in 2019.  Ilim has already supported several other events organized by the Fund including the very first one - The dramatic personae: Diana Vishneva and Uliana Lopatkina theater project that was performed on the stage of the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater in February 2019.

In summer 2019, Ilim employees had a chance to watch The Salt of the Earth, one on the main documentary films of this century created by Wim Venders, a German film director. The exclusive film screening was attended by famous Russian film critics, art and arthouse film experts.

About Festival
The Context. Diana Vishneva international festival of contemporary choreography gives the audience an opportunity to see the best contemporary dance performances, it removes the borders between different genres and helps the young talents to unleash their potential. The first festival was held in 2013 and soon became an important part of the cultural life in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The festival program includes both foreign and Russian dance performances, film screenings and workshops.
The festival featured the artworks directed by the 40 world's best choreographers such as Mats Ek, Hans van Manen, Marco Goecke, Ohad Naharin, etc and welcomed 20 internationally acclaimed dance companies such the National ballet of Canada, NDT, the Maurice Bejart Ballet Company, the Martha Graham Dance Company, and the Batsheva Dance Company. The festival visited Yekaterinburg, Perm and Holland Dance Festival in the Hague with guest performances, as well as such world’s famous venues for dance performances  as Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London and Suzanne Dellal Centre in Tel-Aviv.
