All-Russian forest industry award Lesprom Awards was established in 2002 by an information trading system Lesprom Network. It is the only professional award in the Russian forest industry. The award is intended to recognize the companies and individuals that have implemented innovations, demonstrated high performance, and have efficiently used resource-saving technologies. Lesprom Awards is supported by federal government, industry associations, and the largest companies in the forest industry. Year 2018 nominations include “Best forest management”, “Best environmental strategy”, “Green energy”, “Investment project of the year”, “Environmentally responsible manufacturer”, etc. The awards jury is comprised of representatives of business and industry communities, journalists, and members of environmental organizations.
