• Held management positions in Municipal Office for Real Estate Registration, Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastral Records and Cartography in St. Petersburg, and in Municipal Department for Real Estate Inventory and Appraisal.
• In 2012, Maria Melnikova was appointed Advisor to the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation and represented interests of the Ministry of Justice in the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.
• In 2020, served as Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Property Management in St. Petersburg.
• Since December 2024, Vice President, Legal Government Relations, in JSC Ilim Group
