Ilim Group reports on its manufacturing performance in 1H 2010

Ilim Group mills produced 1,208 thousand tons of pulp and paper products in 1H 2010. This is 8% above the performance during similar period in 2009.

Pulp and paper products output of business unit Ilim West has grown by 14%

Over the first six months of 2010, Business Unit Ilim West (the Koryazhma Branch) has manufactured 492 thousand tons of pulp and paper products, up 14% compared to the same period last year.

Ilim East business unit pulp and paper output up 4% to 716 thousand tons

During the first half of 2010, the pulp and paper output of Ilim Group enterprises integrated into Ilim East business unit (the Bratsk and Ust-Ilimsk Branches) amounted to 716 thousand tons, i.e. up 4% over the first six months of 2009.

The Board of Directors of OJSC Ilim Group approved an investment project involving installation of a paper machine in Koryazhma. The estimate project cost exceeds USD 270 million.

All branches of Ilim Group are using the electronic cargo declaration system

The Ust-Ilimsk Branch of Ilim Group started filing electronic declarations using the Internet. The new declaration format was introduced as part of the Russian Government's Electronic Russia task project, which is expected to be completed by 2012.

Ilim Group has chosen the main technology supplier for Bratsk project

Ilim Group has chosen Metso Company as the main technology and equipment supplier for a new kraft softwood pulp mill to be built in Irkutsk Oblast on its production site in Bratsk. It is one of the largest investment projects in the Russian pulp and paper industry for the past 40 years.

Over the first quarter of 2010 OJSC Ilim Group’s locations have manufactured 603 thousand tons of pulp and paper products. This is 12% more than in the corresponding period of 2009.
