Adaptation program

The company has developed a system intended to make the new employee's adjustment period as comfortable as possible.

In the Head Office the new employee is greeted by the Adaptation Expert who describes the hiring procedure, assists in preparing the required documents, presents the key company policies and controls workplace preparation.

On the first day of work the employee is given the New Hire's File which contains:

  • CEO's message;
  • Code of Business Ethics;
  • Brief Company background;
  • Some general organizational matters (cafeteria working hours, standard day plan, etc.);
  • Brief description of the salary payment system and benefits provided to employees;
  • General information on the IT resources used in the company;
  • Overall company structure;

Help List with names and contacts of the persons which are likely to be most frequently approached on various issues;

«Rules of Life» — list of the key policies and procedures which will guide the employee through the vast variety of internal regulations of the company.

The newly hired employee also receives a document clearly stating his/her goals for the probation period and relevant performance criteria.

The Adaptation program must include participation in an Adaptation Seminar. It is a 2-3 hours long program which includes:

  • introduction;
  • presentation of the company's history, structure and management principles, goals and products;
  • discussion of the business ethics rules (communication, dress code) and company policies;
  • introduction of the corporate culture and traditions;
  • feedback section, an account of the employee’s impressions of the first days at work.

During the entire on-boarding period the new employees can request assistance from the Adaptation Expert and the Internal Communications Expert.

In Ilim Group's branch offices this «guidance» function is performed by the HR department staff. The Adaptation Program must also include obligatory safety training.
