Ust-Ilimsk branch

Construction of Ust-Ilimsk Pulp Mill began in 1973 and during 1980s all mill facilities were completed.

Currently the branch employs 1571 people.


Ust-Ilimsk Branch

Ust-Ilimsk Branch is Pulp Mill in Ust-Ilimsk, one of the largest wood chemical mills in the world.

Products

  • bleached softwood kraft pulp,
  • unbleached sheet pulp,
  • unbleached pressed pulp,
  • wood chemicals and biochemical products.

Production capacity

Capacity of the mill after 2006 modernization increased by 26% and is now 630 000 tons of market pulp per year.

Market share

The Branch accounts for approximately 30% of market pulp production in Russia. The Mill exports up to 90% of its total output of bleached pulp to Europe and Asia.

Quality and EHS management systems of the Ust-Ilimsk Branch comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 international standards.

Wood Procurement

In 2010 Ust-Ilimsk region’s branch of Ilim group was formed on the base of «IlimSibLes» logging enterprise. The branch is  responsible for wood supply to Ust-Ilimsk mill.

Forest management and chain of custody systems has been certified in accordance with FSC requirements.

The total annual logging volume is 3.36 million m3.
