Alexander, Emdin

Born in Leningrad in 1958.

In 1980 graduated from the Leningrad Polytechnic and went on to receive a Ph.D. at the St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance. Holds the Federal Securities Market Commission Qualification Certificate.

Mr. Emdin began his career at the Special HydroPowerAssembly All-Union Trust where he worked in 1980-1989.

In 1989-1992 worked for the Foreign Economic Legal Center of Lengatur joint venture.

In 1993 joined Industry and Construction Bank where he consecutively held the positions of Head of Currency Exchange Division, Department Head, and Director for Foreign Economic Activities. In July 1996 was appointed Deputy Chairman of the bank’s Management Board. From June 1998 through December 1999 he served as the Chairman of the Board of the Industry and Construction Bank.

In June 2000 became Advisor to the First Vice-President of the St. Petersburg State Technical University.

In September 2000 was appointed First Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance at Ilim Pulp and in July 2002, Ilim Pulp’s Chief Financial Officer.

Since July 2007 — Chief Financial Officer, Ilim Group.

In October 2007 Mr. Emdin was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Ilim Group.
